Vaalrivier Carp - Von du Rust

Riaan decided to grab a few ready-to-fish rigs and some Natural Mix prepared particle tins, and headed to the Vaal River. On arrival he scattered some of the Natural Mix prepared particles together with some chopped boilies over a large area, before tying the ready-to-fish rigs to his mainlines.

He experimented topping each presentation with various colours of fake maize to see which colour will result in quicker bites. Soon he realised that the orange fake maize produced quicker bites.

His left rod had a tigernut and fake maize as hook bait, with the other rods being baited up with our test boilies. It was clear that the boilies were producing much quicker bites, which resulted in the final rod also being baited up with boilies.
