This video is briefly covering the string interpolation discussion related to JEP 430 that re-ignited close to/after the release of JDK 21 and how a lack of effort from content creators (including those that upload to the official Java channel) negatively affected the general perception of its scope and goals.

Since most technical details have been left out of the video because they were not relevant to the incident itself I just wanted to quickly mention their reasoning for the syntax picked: The prefix (like STR.) was a statically imported string template processor (that got auto imported) since the system behind it is - who would've thought - abstract. It was basically pseudo-method calling and the planned changes mentioned towards the end of the video plan to switch to actual method calling reliance (in the form of overloads that accept string template literals). The \{} escape sequence has been picked because it previously was an illegal character sequence ensuring backwards compatibility.

I apologize for the rather unfortunate audio quality, this is the first YouTube video I worked on and I'm planning to improve the way I record and process audio in future uploads (if there are any). A new processing flow has already been tested that definitely improves the quality however further adjustments might be necessary.
