Landscape Photography | Daylight Long Exposure, ND Filter Photography

Howdy!

This week we're doing some photography on the Long Island Sound with a Hoya PROND 1000 neutral density p̶a̶l̶a̶n̶t̶i̶r̶ filter with a 16-35mm lens. This filter provides 10-stops of light loss. Later in the shoot, we go to a bamboo grove and focus in on using a 14mm prime lens.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with this shoot and pulling it together (memes included)! There's an interesting balance between shooting photos for the sake of shooting photos and trying to document and share that process. Some decent captures of the bunch. Comment below if you had a favorite. As a comparison between the bamboo grove photos taken in this video and the previous one that's featured in here as a retrospect - this shoot was in April, while the previous photo was from October. There's a fair amount of seasonality difference in the growth, and the space is regularly managed.
