Está dentro del Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido, una zona de gran valor natural y paisajístico, con una altitud media de aproximadamente 960 metros sobre el nivel del mar.

Se accede principalmente por carretera, a través de la carretera N-260 que conecta la localidad con Aínsa y otros municipios cercanos en los Pirineos.
