Found out there is chloramine in my source water. The worst part is my liquid tests aren’t showing it. This explains why I’m having issues and since I don’t have an RO filter, I will likely have to begin cycling my own water in a large (empty) tank. That way my little guys and gals don’t have to deal with poor water quality every time I do a water change. Also looking at Peep and I can’t tell if her fins are showing the early signs of an infection or if she’s just a frosted tip betta. Either way she’s super energetic and as beautiful as ever.
