KJ2: Think tanks and consultancies all around the world are places where intelligence services can convene groups of experts they might not normally meet, receive specialized training, and sometimes channel their operational activities.

KJ3: Major corporations and entrepreneurs involved with advanced technologies are establishing their own outfits in Washington to engage with the government and promote new ideas, and some traditional think tanks and consultancies might be left behind.

Ted Karasik began his career at the RAND Corporation and has served for many years as a think tank and consultancy founder and director.
