This is my house in Miyanoura, Yakushima. I have a 2LDK, a car, a gas stipend, and a home on the most beautiful place in all of Japan.

I live right across the street from the Miyanoura port, and about a 2 minute walk from the "downtown" Miyanoura area. I have a total of 6 schools that I'll be teaching at this year; five are on the island, and one is on a neighboring island, populated by about 150 people give or take. I go to that island, Kuchinoerabujima, once a month.

Yakushima is a UNESCO World Heritage protected island, and is most populated by trees, deer, and monkeys. Of all the places in the world I've visited, this is by far the most beautiful.

Forgive me for the rambling and lack thereof in the video; I was tired, and I was far from eloquent. If you don't know me and stumbled on this video, I'm sorry! It must seem disjointed and undecipherable.
