After successfully not drowning in Loch Lomond, I was eager to try again. We found ourselves in the beautiful surroundings of the Isle of Skye and I decided to face my fear of the deep sea and go for a sea paddle.
A combination of the strong winds, my inexperience and the existence of waves in the sea made for a rocky start to my sea kayak career. As much as it is embarrasing to watch how scared I am of tiny waves, I want to keep this as true as it felt and be able to see later how much I've actually progressed (rather than the good bits that my brain will remember).
