It was time for us to visit the fairyland once again .. We visited Bamboret Kalash Valley in June 2022, however, the magic of this place attracted us once again. Sidra, myself and Malik Matee ur Rehman in one SUV, while Rana Saheb of famous YouTube channel GoPakNorth in the other SUV traveled from Islamabad (and Gujranwala) from 23rd May to 29th May, 2024. Our objective was not to drive on the difficult mountain roads ... yes, we did that too, but it was the satisfaction of meeting and interacting with beautiful and simple Kalash people. This series is story of our beautiful travel ...

This seventh episode covers our day spent at Rumbur Valley on 26th May, 2024. We were delighted to know that the "postponed" festival in Rumbur Valley was revived with some age related restriction.
The toned down festival activities were due to sad demise of a senior age person, whose house was incidentally located right next to the Dancing Place of Rumbur Valley.
Some time after the noon, the drum beating started. People started assembling at the Dancing place. Only young girls participated in the dancing. Their simple steps in harmony provided an opportunity to our hearts to sync with the rhythm of nature.
Close to sunset, men folk assembled facing towards the setting sun with walnut branches in their hands ... women stood behind their men .... their praying towards the setting sun continued till the sun sank behind the tall mountains.
Dancing resumed but the steps were different ... the dancing girls connected to each other with ropes, signifying their mutual bonds and love for their community.
After the sunset we retured to our hotel at Bamboret, where Sidra cooked delicious dinner for us. We used the elaborate kitchen step of "Surf Shahzadi" of Rana Saheb while enjoying the music played from our "Sherpa"

We enjoyed our day at Rumbur, and we hope that you will enjoy this travel like we did. Stay Blessed.
