Tour of Milaidhoo Maldives resort. This resort in many ways is better than larger international chain resorts we’ve stayed at in Maldives such as Waldorf Astoria, St Regis, Alila, or Park Hyatt. Unlike these, Milaidhoo is owned by a local, and retains a great deal of local customs and character. The staff actually knows about the local area - the fish, the weather patterns, the food. These things really added to our experience. But, the hotel still has a very high standard of service (and price tag).
