Here’s what to watch for heading into the Week 8 weekend:
• Baltimore Ravens: Quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 4. He was limited, but it’s a big step forward. Jackson missed Baltimore’s last two losses, and with the team sitting at 1-5, a potential return against the Chicago Bears could provide a much-needed spark.
• Carolina Panthers: Head coach Dave Canales listed Bryce Young as day-to-day with an ankle injury. Young hasn’t practiced this week, but he’s been seen working off to the side as Andy Dalton takes first-team reps. The Panthers will play on Sunday.
• Pittsburgh Steelers: Aaron Rodgers will face his former team, the Green Bay Packers, for the first time since their split. Rodgers said, “I don’t have any animosity toward the organization. This isn’t a revenge game — I’m just excited to see some of those guys and be on Sunday Night Football again.”
• Washington Commanders: Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed quarterback Jayden Daniels will miss Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. Wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quad) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) both returned to practice this week, strengthening Washington’s offense.
• Dallas Cowboys: Running back Javonte Williams returns to Mile High Stadium to face his former team, the Denver Broncos, for the first time. Drafted by Denver in 2021, Williams totaled over 1,000 yards from scrimmage as a rookie before a devastating knee injury. Now sitting second in the league in rushing, he’s ready for an emotional homecoming.
