One of over twenty large sculptures built from reclaimed materials from the granite and marble countertop industry, the Tree of Life is meant to resemble an ancient desert tree of sorts, with a thick spiraling trunk and solid, rounded canopy. Kitchen and bathroom sink cutouts make up the majority of its construction, with cores of various sizes adding the finishing touch. All told, about 8,000 pounds of stone were used in this project.
