Aphex Twin's "Stone In Focus" - continued attempts at recreating it

Описание к видео Aphex Twin's "Stone In Focus" - continued attempts at recreating it

I tried some more on recreating Stone In Focus and learned some more things...
---
1. I can only really get the synth of Arturia's Prophet V3 to work for me. I tried the latest Prophet in Arturia's software synths and couldn't get it right. I'm sure there are other ways, but I haven't tried much yet as I have something that is working. It is really a basic synth sound though (00:41) so I'm sure another synth would do. Maybe the u-he synth emulation of the prophet could work and I might try it. You could probably get this basic sound out of Serum too, but I haven't tried yet.

2. The reverb makes the sound. I used Goodhertz Megaverb and it works great. I found that playing around with the filter is one crucial aspect of getting the sound right, as are adjustments of the analog and digital in the lofi section. I also think you can get this sound with a spring reverb that is adjustable maybe like Twangstrom or something similar. I tried in the past with Valhalla Vintage Verb and had some success in a previous video. I read where Richard said he likes springs and plates and the Quadraverb has that tinny sound to it and I read where he used it on Selected Ambient Works 85-92 so maybe he used it here too. The Megaverb has that quality to it like a Quadraverb so I made some presets that I think are close.

Key moments in the video:
00:00 synth on, reverb on, reverb is SIF2 preset
00:41 reverb OFF
00:55 reverb on again
01:12 reverb on, reverb changed to SIF preset
01:36 reverb on, reverb changed back to SIF2 preset
01:48 reverb on, adjusting sliders to get a different sound

If you can't see the settings or need anything, please let me know, and I'll get you what I can.
