Konami has given birth to some of the most important franchises in videogame history (before becoming intoxicated with pachinko, that is). During the years, however, the company has also created some lesser known games that are more or less worthy of being remembered. One of these is Azure Dreams, a dungeon crawler mixed with too many other genres to count, that was released on the PS1 in Japan in 1997 and in the West in 1998. Today, I try to see if the bizarre mix of genres that is Azure Dreams can still be enjoyed nowadays or whether it is a product that belongs only to the period it was released in.
