Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising: claymore mine

Описание к видео Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising: claymore mine

This video shows the performance of claymore in OFDR. The flags are placed at intervals of one meter.

Claymore detonates when a man comes within 5 some meters for the approach from the front direction. Other than that case, the claymore doesn't detonate. We were able to confirm the directivity from the video.

Though the target doesn't get any harm for the approach from the front direction for its too early trigger distance of 5m. To get better performance, you should set claymore to direct its back toward the direction that a target is supposed to come. Then, when a target steps over the claymore from its back, it detonates within 1 meter distance and gives him injury.

As I haven't seen the actual scene of detonation to date, it never occurred to me that I should use it like that. (Be careful. It's performance of the fictional claymore in this game and real claymore doesn't work like that.) Anyway, the game designer or debug team should have checked the performance before release.
