On Friday 15th March 2024,we were in Blackpool town centre filming (mainly Stagecoach) buses and trams on the Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway.
Trams in service were:
008* 009* 010* 011 012AD* 013* 014* 015* 016AD* (*ODAS cameras fitted - note 008 now has cameras). This is the first time ever that we have filmed nine consecutively numbered trams in service.
002* and Bolton 66 were out on driver training. Please note the messy means by which trolley fitted cars travel through North Pier delta junction, taking up to 2 minutes to perform the manoeuvre. It is surely time to fit pantographs to the whole heritage fleet so that they do not cause holdups to the service when the Blackpool North Railway Station branch opens.

We had hoped to film Balloon car 700 - now named Sir Ken Dodd as it was due to take part in the very low key opening of Show Town - see if you can find it - there is little to tell you it is there! When you do find it, unless you are a Blackpool resident, it costs £15 to gain entry too!! 700, like most people on the day, failed to turn up for the appointed 11:00 official opening.
