Australian actors Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban first crossed paths at a gala in Los Angeles in 2005. Kidman was instantly smitten with Urban but he didn’t call her for four months. In June 2005, while living in New York City, Kidman realized Urban was “the one” when he brought her gardenias on her 38th birthday. The couple got engaged in May 2006 and married in a candlelit ceremony at St. Patrick’s Estate in Sydney on June 25, 2006. Their wedding was a romantic blend of Cinderella-style fantasy, Catholic tradition, and Aussie cheer. Four months after their wedding, Kidman staged an intervention for Urban due to his alcohol addiction. He then checked into rehab and released his album “Love, Pain, & the Whole Crazy Thing.” In January 2007, Kidman supported Urban after his release from rehab and they took a romantic vacation to St. Barts. In March 2007, Urban flew from Australia to L.A. for a date with Kidman. In November 2007, the couple moved to Nashville where they purchased a farm southwest of the city.
