We got some sad news on Moo, our latest rescue kitty with the numerous health issues.

He originally came into the shelter with anemia, most likely caused by the hookworms, roundworms, coccidia and sacbies he had (as well as a shelter cold). His eyes were also in rough shape. He went to shelter foster care and improved, but needed further specialized care for his eyes.

Dr Evans (our ophthalmologist) checked out his eyes this past week. She diagnosed the agenesis, trichiasis (eyelid issues) and the ulcers on his eyes (as also diagnosed at the shelter). Unfortunately, she also discovered that the damage to his left eye has left him blind. This eye will most likely build up pressure and will need removed. It will be best to do this soon, so he can begin to heal and get on the road to recovery.

For now, Moo will get eye ointment twice a day and lots of pets❤️
