Sessions of Parliament: Budget Session, Monsoon, Winter | Indian polity

In this video we will discuss about what are sessions of parliament and what are the different times when sessions are conducted. There is no constitutional rule about how many sessions can be conducted. Only thing mentioned in Article 85 is that there can be a maximum gap of 6 months between two sessions hence a minimum of 2 sessions has to be conducted.

The important Sessions of Parliament according to Parliamentary convention are:
Budget Session
Monsoon Session
Winter Session

Budget session is usually the longest session and winter the shortest.
