196 - Wide Locks are More Fun with Two (Boats)

In todays vlog we leave Chester for the second time. This time heading south on the Shropshire Union Canal to Beeston.

We set off alone, not excited by the prospect of travelling up the Northgate Staircase locks alone but we are soon joined by another boat who spots us leaving.

They cruise with us through all 8 locks to Christleton, this not only makes the journey easier but it is way more fun to have other boaters to chat to along the way.

Once we are through the locks there are a few more miles to travel alone before we make it to our mooring for the night near Beeston.

A. We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.
