I'm still not completely convinced that a microphone is needed to complete P.T. but at the same time I'm not sure if I would've completed the game without one plugged into the PS4 controller.

From my playthrough this is what I believe to be the final hallway solution.
Wait until midnight (bells should ring) and then take about 10 steps (doesn't need to be precise).
Once the baby laughs you'll want to freeze, do not move either character or camera. I'm not sure but you might want to mute your mic at this point as it seemed that saying anything early would result in needing to reset.
Without moving wait for the haunting to start and near the end say Jarith into the mic (some other names supposedly work as well).
Once the baby laughs again continue to remain still and wait for the controller to vibrate.
The baby should laugh for the third time once the controller stops vibrating.
Shortly afterwards the phone should ring, answer it.
Walk through the hallway loop door for the final time.


This game was very creepy and unsettling. Really unfortunate that this game got cancelled as it is honestly one of the best pieces of horror that I have ever played/watched.
