Deaf Role Model - Aqil Chinoy

Aqil Chinoy, a Mumbai native with deaf parents and a brother, overcame challenges to pursue education in Computer Science at Gallaudet University. Returning to India, he observed a lack of accessibility for the deaf and, along with Alok and Manasi, founded ISH News. This initiative translates Indian news into sign language videos, promoting equality through subtitles, signed videos, and voice. Aqil, a role model for his energy and success, actively contributes to IT projects and holds additional responsibilities within the ISH team.
