This is an in-depth look at the Garmin Edge 520. In it I do some comparison to the Edge 510, though I am making a separate video that does a more direct comparison between the Edge 510 and the Edge 520.

UPDATE 1/25/2016: Regarding Strava Live Segments, I've learned from Garmin that "While navigating a course created in Garmin Connect, compatible Edge devices will be unable to display live segments sent to the device from Strava".
This explains why Strava Live segments did not work often times on the road, since I was navigating by courses created on Garmin Connect.
