Checkout my bus journey by HRTC Volvo from Manali to Chandigarh throught the beautiful mountains and valleys. This route is both beautiful during the day time and dangerous during the night as it passes through the difficult terrain. This is my first time journey by HRTC Volvo and didnt want to miss a bus journey by the Govt bus. There were only two buses that were running during the day time one is HRTC and the other was REo Volvo bus. But since I wanted to do HRTC bus journey I choose HRTC volvo. The fare for this bus was Rs. 1100+ taxes. The bus arrives at the Manali bus poarking below and not in Manali bus stand which is in Manali town area. This is 4:30 pm bus from the bus parking and is scheduled to reach Chandigarh at 2 am in the morning. The original route of the bus is Manali to Hardiwar via Chandigarh and Dehradun. The total distance between Manali to Chandigarh is approx. 310 kms and will take anywhere between 9 - 10 hours. The bus was driven by two drivers and the second driver boarded somewhere near Mandi. The journey was good however I didnt like the diner halt as it was very costly and the driver stopped for his convenience as he was to go home from there. I will definitely will come here more to do more of Himachal Pradesh routes later.
