Back in the early 90s, live UK-based SKA Reggae hit Toronto like a storm. This video is from the early days, a smaller gig at Sneaky Dee's, taken with what we called a "camcorder" back then. No lighting, no room to move around....STILL, a valuable piece of Black History in Canada!

Those were the great ol' days when SKA fans would line up along Queen St. W., waiting for Arsenals to play at the Bamboo. Those days were so ruckus, one of the band members told me that Bamboo management stop booking Arsenals. But then the demand from fans was so great and frequent, the Bamboo relented and booked Arsenals for more performances.

This is also a piece of history of, and remembrance for, the lead singer Crash. He makes a bone-chilling prediction in this video, which manifested 3 years later when Crash passed from a heart attack while performing with the band Big Sugar. RIP Crash!
