NSW Railways - Mungindi and Main Northern Lines: Australian Trains

Freight and Passenger rail action on the Mungindi and Main Northern lines in the mid north of New South Wales on Friday 2 November 2012.

The video commences with former Danish MZ locos 1443, 1440 and 1445 on a QUBE freight at Boggabri before heading south east to Gunndedah for the up Moree Countrylink Xplorer passenger service.

Due to the lack of rail activity in the area following the Xplorer, I headed south to Willow Tree on the Main Northern line and captured a coal train commencing the climb up the Liverpool range with triple TT's on the front and three 82's banking on the rear.

The action continues with 8241, 8204 and 8224 departing Werris Creek and then following it south to Blandford. Also included are the down Northern Tablelands Xplorer, a down empty coal train with three TT's on the front at Ardglen and double 81's on a grain at Blandford.

The final train for the day is TT112, TT124 and TT111 on another empty coal train at Blandford (after crossing the 82's at Murrulla) and finally entering Ardglen loop at the old Main North Road level crossing.
