Veteran pitcher Lance Lynn got his first start of Spring Training, aiming to be game-ready for the World Baseball Classic as he is set to pitch for Team USA.

Lynn tossed three innings, while striking out four batters and giving up only one run.

The White Sox got on the board with a homer from Gavin Sheets in the bottom of the second inning, the first home run of Spring Training. Jake Burger launched one of his own in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The Chicago White Sox fall to the San Diego Padres, 6-2, on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
