They cover how to employ cloud-based and local LLMs. By the end, you’ll have the skills you need to incorporate Semantic Search into your FileMaker solutions.

1. make sure you have Filemaker Pro 2024 (21.1.x)
2. Sign up for an account at https://dashboard.cohere.com/welcome/...
3. Once signed up, go to the dashboard: https://dashboard.cohere.com
4. Select the “API Keys” from left side navigation: https://dashboard.cohere.com/api-keys
5. Select the “New Trial Key” or “Create Trial Key” button
6. Enter a Key Name (record the name)
7. Select the “Generate “Trial Key” button
8. Copy the key and save it somewhere safe and secure.
*This is your one chance to copy the key!

Part B of the presentation covers how to set up your own local LLM
(You’ll need 6GB or free drive space and 5GB of free memory).

1. Go to https://lmstudio.ai and download a copy for your platform
2. Download the suggested deepseek-r1-distill-qwen-7b LLM model
3. Download a model to do text embedding such as text-embedding-nomic-embed-text-v1.5
Note: LM studio for Mac Os is only available for M-powered Macs
