Victorian Railways Wig Wag Crossing signal

Описание к видео Victorian Railways Wig Wag Crossing signal

First test run of my Wig Wag crossing signal. This Wig Wag was used in Gippsland and has not run in many years. The VR had 34 level crossings protected by Wig Wags ( made by the Magnetic Signal Co Los Angeles, known as Magnetic Flagmen). They are a rare item these days with the last in service at Chanters Lane, Tylden in 1976. Despite many years as a garden display item this unit needed only minimal work to get it wagging again, a testament to the rugged design and simplicity of the Wig Wag signal. I have a second unit now which still retains the power off "OUT OF ORDER" banner which was released if the power failed at the level crossing.
