I recently composed this musical setting of the Jesus Prayer, which comes to us from the hesychastic meditative tradition of the Eastern Orthodox Church. I also created a contemplative image for people to ponder while the repetitious prayer is sung. The idea is to let the message sink into our deep hearts, so that maybe (by God's grace) we can enter into the Prayer of the Heart, where we may deeply commune with the pure and peaceful flame of Christ's infinite love.
