Unpretty Rapstar: HIP POP Princess is an mnet survival show reimagining (HEAVILY) the Unpretty Rapstar series (which was GOLD) for a new generation of global teen rappers and performers. Unlike the original this reboot highlights rookie trainees and pre-debut idols in hopes of making a (possibly 10 member) girl group. The show is trying to focus on self-producing idols and the stages including original choreo, rap, styling and remixing. (allegedly—this is mnet after all but come on…14 year olds crafting what are actually really great rookie stages?? okay). Judges include Soyeon, Gaeko, Riehata & Iwata Takanori.

Episode 4 & 5 feature the 3rd mission: Main Produce New Track Mission with new songs: Daisy, Dis Papa & Hoodie Girls while ep 6 4th mission: True Battle: a disrespect battle that takes place in team battles, in which team performances that demonstrate rap skills and creativity are tested. The participants are divided into 4 teams, 2 teams will compete in the match. The mission is divided into 4 sections: 1 vs 1 Ace Rap Battle Korea, 5 vs 5 Dance Battle, 1 vs 1 Ace Rap Battle Japan and 2 vs 2 Performance Battle. The winning teams in the True Battle will record tracks 6 and 7. The losing teams become candidates for elimination, 3 participants will be eliminated in each team
