12 20 61...Despite a top-tier team of writers and a new roster of comic talent in Tim Conway, Buck Henry, Joey Forman, and the Smothers Brothers, the New Steve Allen Show was buried in the ratings by the mega-hit Wagon Train (which ranked #1 in the Nielsens). It lasted 13 weeks. Not to suggest that this is anywhere near as good as a typical show from Steve's legendary (1956-60) NBC series...but with that disclaimer, this is the long-lost next to last episode of the "new" series.
