Описание к видео Do It Yourself ⚡️ hot coat on a surfboard ⚡️ Silmar Polyester resin

In this video, you will learn how to do a hot coat on your surfboard. The hot coat is an extra layer of resin applied to the board after fiberglass reinforcements have been laid down. This layer provides better protection and durability for your surfboard. The process may seem daunting, but by following key steps and having the right tools on hand, you can easily achieve a professional hot coat on your board.

The quantity of polyester resin depends of the size of your surfboard. For a shortboard, you will need about 400g. for a longboard, you will have to use between 700g and 900g of resin.

Don't forget to use the correct percentage of catalyst MEKP, which is around 2% for a hot coat.
And also think about using wax in styren (4%) to facilitate the sanding. If you don't put wax in styren in your resin mix, it will be impossible to sand the hot coat properly.
