Описание к видео Study an MA/MSc Taught Masters Programme in Climate, Risk and Society

Dr Lauren Martin from our Department of Geography gives an overview of the two taught masters programme under our Climate, Risk and Society stream (MA & MSc).

Our MA in Climate, Risk and Society provides an in-depth understanding of how changes in the global climate resulting from human activity are set to pose new risks and challenges to society whether in the form of natural physical events or more indirectly through political activity.

Our MSc in Climate, Risk and Society takes a natural science approach to climate risk. Designed to equip you with an in-depth understanding of how human influence on climate is creating new risks, challenges and greater social vulnerability, it also teaches the necessary skills to develop effective responses to such natural and socio-political threats.

Both programmes are taught within our Department of Geography, a world-renowned hub for research, with postgraduates playing a vital role in our success. Our students engage in original research and gain experience in research-led teaching, working closely with expert staff to advance spatial knowledge that connects theory with real-world practice. With a diverse community of over 100 postgraduate students, we tackle cutting-edge issues across a wide range of geographical topics. Our postgraduate programs are designed to develop advanced research, analytical, and communication skills, preparing you for a successful career in academia, government, the third sector, and private industry.
