IIVulcanaSymposium (2023) Summary

The IIVULCANASymposium (2023) on Submarine Volcanology of the Canary Islands was held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Oceanographic Center of the Canary Islands. The symposium was organized by the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC) in collaboration with GeoTenerife for MarineSciCamp. Delegates and virtual attendees from around the world were able to watch and participate in the Q+A for free.

The theme of this symposium focused on the role played by different institutions during the two more recent volcanic crises in the Canary Islands (El Hierro and La Palma islands) and the more relevant scientific results obtained during the monitoring carried out over these years.
