The first way to get rid of silverfish is to use sticky traps, the little pests will wiggle their way right into the trap.

Secondly, silverfish hate cedar. Diffuse cedar oil in your home.

Alternatively you can fill a spray bottle with water and cedar oil and spray it in the areas of infestation.

The third method is to wet some newspaper and roll it up.

The silverfish will crawl into it and make it their residence.

Then a few days later get rid of the newspaper either by tossing it in an outdoor trash receptacle or burning it.

The fourth natural way to get rid of silverfish is to scatter dried bay leaves around your home, the oils repel silverfish among other insects.

Lastly, place a starchy food item around the exterior of a glass jar with tape.

Silverfish can crawl up the textured surface of the tape to get into the container, but they won't be able to get out because their feet won't stick to the smooth glass surface inside.

Use ventilation in moist warm rooms especially the kitchen and bathroom

Reduce the humidity in the air with a dehumidifier
Keep your pantry items in sealed containers

Clean up crumbs in the kitchen or other rooms daily

Fix all leaks as soon as you notice them and try to keep your home as dry as possible.

You need to seal all the cracks in the house.

Look for cracks in your walls, pipes, doors, windows and also cracks in the baseboards and furniture.

These little insects will come into your home from cracks in your home walls and you will need to seal them all.
The best thing would be to use silicone caulk in the walls, cracks and other possible cracks.

IIf you notice you have put on too much silicone, you can wipe it off with rubbing alcohol to help it dry faster.

If you do all the things above you will not have to worry about the silverfish pest.
