Описание к видео The Battle Of St. Louis: The Unknown Yet Critical Point In The American Revolutionary War

The Battle of St. Louis, also commonly known as the Battle of Fort San Carlos, took place on May 26th 1780 during the American Revolutionary War between the British-allied Indians and defenders of the Franco-Spanish village St. Louis, Louisiana - present-day State of Missouri. One of only two Revolutionary War battles that took place west of the Mississippi River, what took place in St. Louis that day reshaped the future of the city, and possibly the entire American West. In this documentary, the battle is brought to life, and the affect that has rippled across two and a half centuries of American history is examined.
