The point of the underpainting is to build layers for my oil. It adds more depth to my painting and it helps me layout and plan the painting. The biggest thing I’ve learned about painting a landscape with acrylic vs oil is planning. Having the underpainting helps me plan the oil painting.

- Underpainting: burnt umber acrylic craft paint
- Oil paint: Burnt sienna, van dyke brown, black, white, cad yellow, alizarin crimson, paynes gray, viridian green
