This song is many people's favourite Elvis record, being a superb performance and a superb production. Its composer, Mark James, died on 8 June 2024, aged 83. In the past I have always avoided playing it, failing to get anywhere near the correct opening ; but in January of this year, something clicked, though I couldn't get a satisfactory 'take'. Five months on, I've had another attempt. Recorded 24 June 2024 in the original key of G, video length 4 min 38 secs.
