Many are familiar with the cattail leaves (Typha latifolia) and that they can be processed to make cordage. This video, I think, shows a less known way to make a stronger cordage from the leaves. You use the thin, outer edge of the lower, broad part of the leaf. This is pulled of the green leaf and then dryed. I use it for thinner cordage which it is more suitable for because of the thin strips. If you intend to make a thicker cordage out of it you need harvest a shitload.

This is nothing new it was used by several native groups in the USA and Canada. I used the thigh rolling technique because it´s faster but you can use whatever suits you.
