Sometimes I’m glad I have so few subscribers. And I’m also glad at times that no one reads my video descriptions. This is the main reason why. The Building Museum is my sanctuary and I don’t want it to get spoiled by tourists. For one thing I absolutely love Ancient Rome. I also am getting really into architecture. This building is more Roman in style than most buildings in Rome. The building museum is a highlight reel of Roman architecture. It’s also a proper museum with a rotating selection of exhibits. I think the reason why this place doesn’t get a lot of traffic is due to marketing. How many people would want to go to a museum dedicated to architecture unless they were in that field? Also the location is off the National Mall and the building itself doesn’t resonate a welcoming vibe. It’s immense, incredibly powerful and proclaims the magnitude of America, but It doesn’t look like a museum from the outside. There are a lot of reasons why. Early July 2021 I went here after doing a fair amount of research on the place. It took me a while to figure out just what the Building Museum is. I am forever pleased that even after my investigation which didn’t really produce solid intelligence on the site I still went. I hope the Building Museum doesn’t ever become a hang out spot for hipsters or any other kind of tally whackers that spoil the coolest spots. Being in the Grand Hall is seeing the heart of the American republic that the founders had envisioned. For those Americans unaware of American history (shame on you) and or those who adhere to the over statement that America was founded as a Christian nation. Let me clarify something. America is influenced and based on the the Roman republic as much if not more than any religious dogma. The Building Museum is a testament to that heritage. It is not a denial of our Christian lineage, but a trumpet to the glory of Rome that led to the shining light on a hill that was once America. We had a republic, but we sold it for Soma.
