1. Extreme monsoon rains, cloudbursts and melting glaciers increase flood risks.

2. Fragile Himalayan slopes can’t handle unchecked human activity.

3. Waste, plastic, and sewage choke rivers and reduce their natural flow.

4. Loud music, alcohol and careless tourist behavior at holy places worsen the problem.

5. Lack of civic sense spitting, littering, and disrespecting sacred rivers.

6. Roads, hotels, and highways add extra stress but without pollution control and public discipline, solutions remain incomplete.

3. Families and livelihoods destroyed.

4. Agriculture land turning barren.

1. Respect for mountains and rivers.

2. Responsible tourism — no litter, no noise, no pollution.

3. Smarter planning with nature, not against it.

Think about it: If these floods were only natural, why do they get worse each year? Maybe it’s time we accept the truth it’s a mix of both nature’s warning and human negligence.
