Jean Curran is an Irish photographic artist and dye-transfer printer based in County Waterford, Ireland.

As one of only four dye-transfer printers operating today, she is the only artist in the world who uses this almost obsolete printing method as the basis of her artistic practice.

The dye transfer process was made famous by Technicolor and gave early colour films like Gone With The Wind and The Wizard of Oz their ‘In Glorious Technicolor’ look and feel that is still revered for its beauty and vibrancy today.

Jean is represented by the Michael Hoppen Gallery, London and Danziger Gallery, (New York /Los Angeles)
