Fall River residents wake up to find their tires slashed

Fall River residents talked with NBC 10 News after a tire slasher hit their neighborhood.

Police said 56 drivers woke up with flat tires Wednesday morning.

Fall River police were called to Mulberry Street and Division Street about 6 a.m. for reports of tire slashing Wednesday. Shortly after, more flat tires were found at Ridge Street and Cottage Street.

An arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Liduino Tavares.

Tavares is connected to a previous series of tire slashings, according to police.

At last check, Tavares has not been located.
