These clamps solved the problem of the lumber rising off the sawmill bed when ripping on my frontier OS18 portable sawmill. The result is lumber that is out of square and unevenly thick. They are made of black gas pipe and fasteners available at any hardware store. The first thing I did was to make a prototype to prove the concept, then modified therm slightly based on the results. The next two clamps worked beautifully and have now been installed on the the sawmill for regular use. The log dogs that came with the sawmill do a good job on the rough logs, but I' can't seem to get them to keep the Cant securely on the bed of the sawmill.
