Knit Scrunchies 3 Ways // QUICK ~1 Hour Scrap Project

STANDARD MIXED MEDIA SCRUNCHIE:
What you'll need:
Two leftover skeins of sock weight yarn in a contrasting color/fiber
A pair of 6.5 mm needles, with shortest cable possible (or DPNs)
23cm/9" piece of elastic

Instructions:
With two strands of sock weight yarn held together, cast on 64 sts with a pair of 6.5 circular needles.
Knit until your piece measures between 7-9cm.
Fold your knitted piece in half and join your active stitches together with the cast on edge, while at the same time casting off. Be sure to leave a small opening to feed through the 23cm/9" elastic.
Tie your elastic into a knot and sew up the opening with a darning needle.
