Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife | December Day 1

A lot of people say hotels treat returning guests better. I have had people say it must be a good hotel to keep going back. I used to read bad reviews on the hotel and think, the people must be mixed up with another hotel. After 4 visits to Bahia Principe Fantasia - I can say this was my worst visit. I requested block 2 facing the castle, which I understand if they don’t have that available. The following day we were told it was available, but we had to give up the room we had. At that point we had no idea what room it was. We got moved to block 3, that was obstructed by the tree. Then the day after that we got moved to a castle view room in block 3 - bit the sliding doors that divide the room were broken ! It annoyed me that we had to pay extra for the master room, to have the sliding doors. However we wasted time twice getting moved rooms.


It’s crazy how one thing, can get you down. I have never really liked, all inclusive holidays. My favourite kind of holiday was traveling to New York or LA and going shopping. I love atmosphere ! I first visited Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife when my parents booked us all to go in March. I had a room facing onto the kids area. My parents had an amazing view, facing the castle. I booked to go back for my birthday, after seeing my parents amazing view and the food is the best compared to other all inclusive holidays I have been to. We got an amazing castle view, for my birthday. My favourite thing in the evening was sitting with a drink, watching the castle light ( it’s like Tenerife’s version of Times Square ). The lights change colours and go out at midnight. I went back in September and got the room next door - another amazing view of the castle. It became my tradition to sit up till midnight watching the castle light.

We loved Bahia principe soo much, we booked to come back.

We got a room facing onto the road and golf course. It is a golfers heaven, facing onto the golf course. To me it was too quiet, no atmosphere and no castle to see. I felt I couldn’t sit on the balcony.

The reception person told us the hotel is full and couldn’t move us. I have never saw the hotel soo quiet. There was soo many empty sun beds and the place was soo quiet. You can request rooms when you book. I requested 2 months ahead, so I don’t know if I requested too early and the request got lost. I have had a lot of people tell me they have seen my videos and were going to request a view like mine, so I don’t know if I basically made myself loose a good view by showing hotel room tours. In April I asked for a castle message for my birthday to have “ Danielle’s Birthday “ it kept coming up wrong, so I kept going to reception. Day 1 had Happy birthday Danielle’s. Day 2 had Happy birthday Danielle - I wouldn’t say happy birthday to myself. So I went to reception again. The next few days nothing showed up. I then went to reception saying it’s my last night and they finally got it right to have “ Danielle’s Birthday “. I always got the same woman who checked me in. This time I got the woman who I kept saying the castle message is wrong. She also asked us for our passports, which the other woman didn’t as we always checked in online. So I don’t know if I got a room I didn’t want, after I kept going to reception about the castle message being wrong.

If you like quietness you’ll love the room I got, but it just wasn’t for me.

I’ve had my share the first time of having a bad view facing the kids area, then I got amazing views. We just got upgraded to silver in the loyalty programe. I try to joke silver, is a downgrade.

Spanish call milkshake cold chocolate. I asked for cold chocolate and got hot chocolate and vodka. It’s something I would have never imagined trying haha
