DIY Automatic door open with linear actuator in two ways | Using remote & IR sensor | JOY in DIY

In this video we made, automatic door opening and closing using linear actuator in 2 ways,i.e remote and IR sensor.

AUTOMATIC DOOR OPEN WITH REMOTE:
We can use 2 channel remote RF receiver. In receiver,make both NO common and connect to negative supply & both NC common and connect to +12v positive supply.COMMON (C) of relay1 & relay2 are given to actuator wires.
FUNCTION: when remote button is not pressed, receiver is in idle state & both terminals of actuator will get positive supply(piston won't move). If 'A' is pressed in remote, relay1 is energized &first terminal of actuator gets positive and second terminal gets negative supply, then piston keeps moving outwards until you release remote button and hence door closes.similarly when 'B' is pressed relay2 is energized &first terminal of actuator gets negative and second terminal gets positive supply(reverse), then piston keeps moving inwards until you release remote button and hence door opens.
NOTE: If piston is moving in opposite direction, reverse the wires of actuator at COMMON(C) of relays.actuator piston stops at end as it is having safety limit switches.


AUTOMATIC DOOR OPEN WITH IR SENSOR:
FUNCTION:When obstruction is received by IR sensor,it triggers and signal is fed to digital input of arduino pin7.then arduino pin2 provides high output to motor driver IN1. Motor drives output 12v, OUT1 high & OUT2 low to linear actuator.Then piston moves outwards & after 12seconds D2 will be low & D3 will be high.(this 12sec time can be changed as per your requirement,which is door opening distance)then door remains open for 5seconds as programmed in arduino. D3 provides output high to IN2 of motor driver then OUT1 of motor driver is low & OUT2 will be high. Motor will get reverse supply 12v and piston moves inwards door will be closed.
