To be able to do the chapter on Lois Weber we had to bring these two books from abroad since there is no book in Spanish dedicated to this pioneer.

One of the books is the most comprehensive and recognized biography of Lois Weber. The other is a compilation of interviews that the pioneer made throughout her life. Having a direct source on the author’s thinking about her own work and the world of cinema has been fundamental.

Although it has been complex for us to study her biography in another language we have believed that it is something fundamental to be able to do serious work on her.

Para poder hacer el capítulo sobre Lois Weber tuvimos que traer estos dos libros del extranjero ya que no hay ningún libro en castellano dedicado a esta pionera.

Uno de los libros es la biografía más exhaustiva y reconocida que existe sobre Lois Weber. El otro es un recopilatorio de entrevistas que realizaron a la pionera a lo largo de su vida. Tener una fuente directa sobre el pensamiento de la autora sobre su propia obra y el mundo del cine ha sido fundamental.

Aunque ha sido complejo para nosotros estudiar su biografía en otro idioma hemos creído que es algo fundamental para poder hacer un trabajo serio sobre ella.
