The annual look behind the scenes of the New Year's Concert once again offers exclusive backstage insights into the months of preparation that go into the most famous of all philharmonic concerts. For more than half a year, a camera crew accompanies the most important steps leading up to the big concert on New Year's Day.

From the ballet filming in the summer at the Museum of Applied Arts and the Vienna Hofburg, to rehearsals with Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who will conduct the New Year's Concert for the first time in 2026, as well as interviews with, among others, dancers from the Vienna State Ballet, the American star choreographer John Neumeier, and AKRIS costume designer Albert Kriemler, designer Barbara Pichler-Hausegger offers exciting insights into the otherwise hidden circumstances surrounding one of the largest television and concert productions.
